Almugera Kabar on loan to NEC Nijmegen

Borussia Dortmund has loaned defender Almugera Kabar to Dutch first-division club NEC Nijmegen, effective immediately and through the end of the season.

Kabar joined Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy in 2019 at the age of 13 and has since progressed through all the youth teams. He was promoted to the First team for the 2024–25 season and made his Bundesliga debut in October 2024. In the summer of 2026, the 20-year-old won the Premier League International Cup.

In total, the left back—who is under contract through 2028—has made six Bundesliga appearances, 14 appearances in the 3. Liga, and 21 appearances in the Regionalliga West (seven goals). During his time at BVB, the German youth international won the U-17 World Cup and European Championship.
