DFB-Pokal: When Is the Draw? And When Is BVB's Next Match?

Borussia Dortmund has advanced to the second round of the DFB Cup for the 21st consecutive time and will find out its next opponent this coming Saturday, September 5.

After Niko Kovac’s team concludes its Bundesliga away game at TSG Hoffenheim in the city of Sinsheim, the draw for the second round of the DFB-Pokal will take place in Dortmund. Bastian Schweinsteiger will conduct the draw at the German Football Museum starting around 5:55 p.m. CEST as part of the “Sportschau” program on German public TV station ARD/Das Erste, which will air live at 5:45 p.m. Alexander Bommes will host the event, and DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth will oversee the draw. There will be two pots – one containing the lower division clubs SG Sonnenhof Großaspach, SSV Jeddeloh II, and Rot-Weiß Essen, and one containing the first and second division teams.

The second-round matches will be played on October 27 and 28.
