Haaland requires further examinations on muscular problems

Erling Haaland gave Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 lead away to TSG Hoffenheim (final score: 3-2) on Saturday after fantastic link-up play and an assist from Donyell Malen. However, the Norway international's match came to an end after 63 minutes, when he suffered a knock and was replaced by Axel Witsel.

Haaland was examined in detail on Sunday and Monday. According to the medical report, the Norwegian is suffering from muscular problems, which will require treatment and further examinations in the coming days.

We hope that Erling will be back to full fitness as soon as possible and can get back to doing what he loves the most - scoring goals for BVB.

I hope that we girls on the pitch can continue to ensure that more and more people come to BVB.<\/p>\nYou once said: \u201cFor me, there are no small goals. I only set myself big ones.\u201d What goals have you set yourself here at Borussia Dortmund? \n<\/b>Quite a few. I think it\u2019s important and right not to buy their way into the regional league or something like that, but to start from the bottom just like any other club. That\u2019s what makes Borussia Dortmund special. They were promoted every year for the first four years. Unfortunately not this year, but that\u2019s just how it is in sport: sometimes there\u2019s a stumbling block in the way. Then you just have to take a little detour. Nevertheless, the progress has been outstanding and I\u2019m very happy to be able to continue on this path with Borussia Dortmund \u2013 even in the Regionalliga.<\/p>\nFour years ago you said: \u201cThat\u2019s just Borussia Dortmund. When it was decided that there would be a women\u2019s team, I was absolutely delighted. I also thought it was absolutely the right move to build women\u2019s football from the ground up rather than buying our way into a higher division. That\u2019s what makes BVB what it is. Of course, I would have been happy if it had happened a bit sooner, but I\u2019m still glad that the women\u2019s team is now where it is and that I\u2019m part of it from now on.<\/p>\nWhat does it mean to you emotionally? \n<\/b>It\u2019s simply a childhood dream. Back then, you didn\u2019t really think about it that much. At some point, it became clear that you couldn\u2019t actually play for BVB because there was no women\u2019s or girls\u2019 team.
