Public training session in front of 900 fans

Numerous BVB fans took the opportunity to watch the Champions League finalists train ahead of the final. 900 spectators were in attendance at the training ground in Brackel on Tuesday morning and greeted the BVB players with applause.

The stands at the Jugendstadion were full for the Borussia Dortmund first team's public training session. One fan had even travelled from England in order to watch the players at work. He waited in vain for the duo of Jadon Sancho and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, however. The Englishmen completed an individual session indoors along with Sebastien Haller.

Marco Reus, who will leave BVB at the end of the season after 12 years and whose name was called out at the beginning of the session, occupied centre-stage. Shirts with the No. 11 on the back were particularly prominent as the players signed autographs after the around one-hour session. (cr)

And the two youngsters, Luke Fahrenhorst and Fadi Zarqelain, earned Rios\u2019s trust again following their strong performance in the 1-1 draw in Bochum.<\/p>\n<h2>Match Summary<\/b><\/h2>\nThe 5,336 spectators at Rote Erde Stadium\u2014including 674 visiting fans\u2014created a special atmosphere for the first home game of the new season. Against this backdrop, Dortmund played more attractively than FC in the opening stages. Luke Fahrenhorst, in particular, proved to be a key asset in central midfield, repeatedly trying to spark the offense as a target man and playmaker.<\/p>\nHowever, it was a Cologne player who created the first dangerous opportunity\u2014albeit unintentionally.
