Two Borussia players in DFB squad for home EURO

Two BVB players are in national team coach Julian Nagelsmann's provisional squad for the European Football Championship in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024.

The Dortmund duo of Nico Schlotterbeck and Niclas Füllkrug will be part of the Germany national team squad for the European Championships. This was confirmed by the national team coach in the official squad announcement this Thursday. The participants had already been announced via different channels over the course of recent days. Schlotterbeck's call-up was announced in the "Tagesschau" on Sunday, while Füllkrug confirmed his call-up on 1live's morning radio show on Tuesday: "I get goosebumps when I think about it. It makes me so proud."

The DFB team will face Scotland in Munich in the opening game at 21:00 CEST on 14 June 2024. The other opponents in Group A are Hungary (Stuttgart at 18:00 CEST on 19/06) and Switzerland (Frankfurt at 21:00 CEST on 23/06).

The other Borussia players that have been called up for the European Championships by their national team coaches will be announced at a later date. (cr)
