This is BVB: Welcome to the Black & Yellow

At Borussia Dortmund, we live for football culture – and for our fans. Founded in 1909 in the industrial heart of Germany, we are known worldwide for our black and yellow colors, iconic home atmosphere, and a passionate fanbase that stretches far beyond Dortmund.

At the heart of it all stands the Yellow Wall, the biggest standing terrace in Europe – nearly 25,000 voices packed tight, roaring as one. It’s not just a stand; it’s a symbol of who we are: a club powered by its people. With the highest average league attendance of 81,305 spectators, our stadium stands out in Europe: Every chant, every flag, every moment of shared passion creates an energy that reaches far beyond the stadium and unites black and yellow hearts around the world.

We are the people’s club: real, raw, and approachable.

Built on Grit. Powered by Passion.

BVB is built on resilience and a working-class mentality. Founded by 18 young friends despite tremendous opposition and named after a former brewery in Dortmund, we don’t believe in shortcuts or privilege – we believe in earning every victory through hard work and standing shoulder to shoulder as a community. Whether on the pitch or off it, our story is about youthful energy, bold defiance, and the power of togetherness.

We open our doors to everyone. With us, it’s passion – not prestige – that determines belonging. We celebrate the daily grind, honor the collective, and amplify the unfiltered stories of real people who make BVB the vibrant, authentic force it is.

Where Football Means Real Love – Echte Liebe.

For us, football is more than a game. It’s an experience shaped by authenticity, community, and emotion. We believe in attacking play, in taking risks, and in fighting until the final whistle. We nurture young talent, cherish our traditions, and carry the spirit of Dortmund into every match we play.

At BVB, we don’t just want to win – we want to inspire. We are here to remind the world that football can still feel real.

This is football that hits different.
