Almugera Kabar joined Borussia Dortmund in 2019 at the age of 13. In the 2023/24 season he played for the U19s, making 22 appearances (two goals, one assist). The following season, he was named captain and was promoted to the first team during the preseason preparations in summer after impressing in training and friendlies. In 2024/25, he played in three different teams: in the Bundesliga, the Drittliga team and the U19s.

The 18-year-old made his competitive debut in the adult game on Matchday 3 in the 3. Liga in the U23s’ 1-1 draw away at Hansa Rostock. His first Bundesliga appearance came on 26 October 2024 in a 2-1 away defeat at FC Augsburg, where he saw a very, very harsh second yellow and subsequent red card in injury time. The left-back made four more appearances over the course of the season, starting the game against Leverkusen on Matchday 16.

Almugera Kabar, a native of Bremen, grew up in the Sauerland region. His first club was SV Hüsten 09. Later, he went a few kilometres further toward the Ruhr, joining Hammer Spielvereinigung. He stayed there until he was twelve. Shortly after his 13th birthday, the talented youngster moved to the Youth Performance Centre of Borussia Dortmund.

Almugera Kabar has played for all of the German youth national teams since the U16s. In 2023, he won Euro 2023, then the World Cup, with the U17s, where he played in every game except the semi-final. In the final against France, he scored the winning penalty.
