Justin Lerma at BVB
Although Borussia Dortmund secured the rights to Justin Lerma in May 2024, due to FIFA regulations governing the transfer of minors, he remained with Independiente del Valle until age 18 and only joined his new club in the summer of 2026. Lerma has been part of the BVB first team since the start of the 2026-27 season.
During his official introduction, the midfielder said, "I hope I’ll settle in as quickly as possible, get accustomed to everything – to the team and to the local culture – and that I’ll adapt to the football here, which is very different and more demanding. My most important goals are to settle in and to help the team as much as possible.”
