Every year during Advent, BVB visit the Dortmund Children's Hospital and try to bring the little joy to the young patients. For more than 20 years, the visit has been a regular fixture on the calendar and is a matter close to the heart of the BVB players. Even this year, the visit took place, albeit on a smaller scale and in compliance with the current hygiene rules in order to protect the children.

Due to the current situation, not all of the BVB first team were able to attend the event. This year, Emre Can, Reinier and Sebastian Kehl surprised the patients in the Children's Hospital. "This year is a special year because we could only come in a small group because of Corona," says Sebastian Kehl. "Normally, we are here with the entire team, the coaches and the staff and try to bring the children a little joy at Christmas. But that was still the case today even with a smaller group."

Together with EMMA, the pros gave out Black and Yellow presents at several wards of the hospital, signed autographs and brought a smile to the children's faces. "For me, this is one of the most beautiful things in the world. If you can bring children a little joy, it's always nice. The visit to the hospital is a must for us," said Emre Can. (cr)
