Borussia Dortmund have signed Dutch youth international Jayden Braaf. The talented 19-year-old attacker is joining BVB from Manchester City. He has signed a contract with Dortmund which runs until 30 June 2025.

Braaf, who operates mainly as a winger, moved to Manchester from the PSV Eindhoven youth team in 2018, and was regarded as one of the most promising young attackers in European football. However, while on loan at Udinese, where Braaf played four games in Serie A, scoring 1 goal, he suffered a serious knee injury just before the end of the 2020/21 season.

“Jayden is someone whose development we have been watching closely for years, and he has shown in the past that he can make a difference with his pace and talent. After more than a year out with injury, he will certainly need some time to regain his former strength and establish himself fully in men's football. We want to give him that time and bring him through carefully. If Jayden can come through the next phase and stay focused, we will have a great talent on our hands," said Sebastian Kehl, who is set to take over as BVB's sporting director.
