Borussia Dortmund sign Achraf Hakimi on loan

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have signed Morocco international Achraf Hakimi on loan from Champions League winners Real Madrid with immediate effect. Both clubs agreed for a loan transfer of the player until the end of 2019/2020 season.

"Achraf Hakimi is a young, very dynamic full-back who has played at the highest level at Real Madrid and in the Moroccan national team," said BVB Sporting Director Michael Zorc.

Hakimi made nine appearances for Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane in La Liga last season, scoring two goals, as well as featuring five times in the Copa del Rey and twice in the Champions League. He played every minute of Morocco's World Cup campaign in Russia.

Hakimi will link up with the BVB squad during the USA tour between 18 and 26 July.
