It was 5.41. p.m. when Roman Weidenfeller hoisted the "bowl" into the Dortmund sky and a black and yellow shower of confetti rained down on the pitch of the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. Chants of "Oh, wie ist das schön!" (How beautiful is this?) and "Who is Deutscher Meister" rang through the stadium when the team did their lap of honour.

The team wore bright yellow shirts, their jerseys for the new season, when they received the championship trophy. The name of the new German champions had already been engraved: "2011 BV Borussia Dortmund" is now standing right under the engraving of Dortmund´s 1996 league title win. "We are here to honour the best team of the season. That´s us! Deutscher Meister 2010/2011 is Borussia Dortmund!", Norbert Dickel shouted excitedly before the presentation ceremony which started after the best moments of the season were shown on the stadium´s big screen.

At 5.41 p.m., Roman Weidenfeller hoisted the championship trophy into the air.

The presentation was made by DFL and BVB president Dr Reinhard Rauball as well as DFL chairman Christian Seifert, and after a long list of players and officials, BVB skipper Roman Weidenfeller was the last to receive his championship medal. The first player to step onto the podium in the centre circle had been fan favourite Dede. There, celebrated by the south stand, he danced for joy and twirled his medal in the air. One player after another was called on the winners´ podium by Norbert Dickel, the "Dortmund lad" Kevin Grosskreutz just like "the sensation" Mario Götze. And Shinji Kagawa and Mohamed Zidan had the flags of their native countries Japan and Egypt wrapped around their shoulders when they collected their winners´ medal.

And when Roman Weidenfeller then finally, at 5.41 p.m., hoisted the most precious trophy of German football into the air, the stadium erupted in triumph. Deutscher Meister 2011 Borussia Dortmund. For a long time, the security and stewards managed to keep the fans from the south stand at bay and off the pitch, in the end, however, they were allowed "controlled access".
