First team training session with new signing Julian Ryerson

Amid sub-zero temperatures in Brackel, Borussia Dortmund's first team are continuing their preparations for their first competitive match of 2023 against FC Augsburg on Sunday (kick-off at 15:30 CET). New signing Julian Ryerson, whom BVB only presented on Tuesday evening, was already training with the group on Wednesday morning.

New signing Ryerson entered his new workplace for the first time with a broad smile across his face. In line with his style of play, which BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl described during the signing of the contract as "very aggressive in a positive sense", the 25-year-old Norwegian took to the pitch wearing shorts in temperatures of -3 degrees.

After the warm-up, the BVB players completed a passing drill and then played a game with four small goals. In the other half of the session, Edin Terzic and his assistant coach worked with the team on tactics and set-pieces. In preparation for the second half-season, a additional session will be incorporated into the training schedule for Wednesday afternoon.
