When Borussia Dortmund depart Dortmund Airport for their training camp in Spain on Wednesday, there will be 31 players on board. The BVB contingent will be in Marbella preparing for the second half of the season until 9 January.

Karim Adeyemi, Julian Ryerson, Julien Duranville and Felix Nmecha will be on board the plane. But the quartet will not yet be able to train with the team on account of their injuries. The travelling party will additionally consist of youth players Hendry Blank, Guille Bueno, Kjell Wätjen, Cole Campbell, Samuel Bamba and Paris Brunner.

Coach Edin Terzic will be without Ramy Bensebaini (Algeria) and Sebastien Haller (Ivory Coast), who will be taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations with their national teams from 13 January onwards.

During the training camp, the players will contest a friendly of 4 x 30 minutes against AZ Alkmaar at 15:30 CET on 6 January and a friendly against Standard Liege at 11:00 CET on 9 January (both matches will be broadcast live via BVB TV). As it stands, there will be four training sessions on site that are open to the public, the first of which takes place at 16:30 CET on 3 January (to the overview). All training sessions and the two friendly fixtures will take place at the Banús Football Centre (Dama de Noche) training complex. (cr)
