Back-to-back home games for the Borussia U23s as newly-promoted side VfB Homberg visit Dortmund this Saturday afternoon.

The sense of relief was huge among the Borussia Dortmund U23 squad after the 4-2 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf last weekend. The Black & Yellows were finally able to secure the result their strong performances had deserved. Interviewed after the match, coach Mike Tullberg was full of praise for his young side: ''I really have to give it to the boys today. We're up against it with the injuries at the moment, and there were moments where you could certainly tell, such as when we had a couple of mix-ups in defense. We set ourselves the challenge of turning our bad luck on its head today, and we really succeeded in a spectacular way, showing a lot of individual quality. I think it was a fully deserved win.''

This Saturday afternoon will see the U23s play their second consecutive home game. Newly-promoted side Homberg, currently placed 16th in the table, are this week's visitors to the Rote Erde Stadion. Head coach Stefan Janßen's team have taken a total of four points from the six matches they've played so far. The Black & Yellows, for their part, are on the ascendancy: the three points picked up against Düsseldorf mean BVB now find themselves in 10th place.

The Black & Yellows' preparations for today's match have however been somewhat disrupted. Emre Aydinel, Joseph Boyamba, Chris Führich and Steffen Tigges were all involved in the first team's friendly match in Cottbus on Friday evening, with Führich and Tigges even managing to get their names on the scoresheet in the 5-0 win.

Saturday's match against Homberg will kick off at 14:00 CET in the Rote Erde Stadion. The stadium grounds will open at 12:30 CET. The club is broadcasting the match live on BVB-TV to ensure that all those BVB fans who can't be there in person can still get a piece of the action.
