Pre-Match Report

Countdown: DAZN to broadcast | Letexier in charge

Borussia Dortmund will face Barcelona on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 21:00 CET. We have compiled all the info on our Champions League home game in a compact format. This page will be updated if there is any news.

Tickets: Small chance on the Secondary Market
SIGNAL IDUNA PARK will be sold-out with 81,365 spectators, including 3,300 from Spain, set to attend. The Secondary Market has been activated but there are currently no tickets on offer. Little tip: Keep checking it, perhaps there will still be someone who cannot make it at short notice and can legally offer their ticket for resale via the BVB Ticket Shop.

Referee: Letexier in charge
The 35-year-old Frenchman's name has been on FIFA's list since 2017. François Letexier oversaw the first of his 16 UEFA Champions League matches to date in December 2020. He will be taking charge of a game involving BVB for the third time after December 2021 (5-0 against Besiktas) and September 2022 (3-0 versus Copenhagen). The video assistant referee comes from the Netherlands and is called Dennis Higler.

Kits: BVB to wear cup kits
Borussia Dortmund will line up in yellow shirts with black shorts and yellow socks. Barcelona will take to the field in a blue and red shirt, dark blue shorts and socks.

Live broadcast: DAZN & Net Radio
The match can be watched on TV and live-stream via DAZN. The pre-match coverage will start at 20:15 CET. The BVB Net Radio will give you the usual Black & Yellow take. Norbert Dickel and Boris Rupert will be the reporters. Match highlights plus the press conference and match reactions will be available on BVB TV.

Weather: Dry and cold
The weather forecast for Wednesday: Cloudy throughout the day with temperatures just above freezing (one to three degrees plus). There is a 0% chance of rain.

Travel: Ticket included in your ticket
This service from BVB and DSW21 is still unique in the Bundesliga: the match ticket for SIGNAL IDUNA PARK entitles you to an outbound and homeward journey in the entire state of NRW. This also applies to holders of plastic season ticket cards. Holders of a “print@home ticket” or a “mobile ticket” (for example, Apple Wallet) need to have a public transport ticket, which can be ordered online free of charge on this site, in addition to their match ticket.

For all fans travelling by car, DOPARK is now selling parking tickets for home games in advance. Tickets are sold exclusively via the DOPARK Ticket Shop. Ticket holders have the advantage that their booked parking space remains reserved until the start of the match, meaning that the sometimes lengthy search for a free parking space is no longer necessary. It also makes travelling to the stadium easier, as there is no need to pay at the car park entrance.

Live ticker: Over to the app
BVB's digital channels operate at full throttle on matchday. And that's not only the case during the match, but throughout the matchday too – starting at 09:09 CET, of course. In "Matchday Mode", the BVB app (click to download) offers news, pictures, posts, videos, statistics and plenty more match info besides. The live ticker starts at kick-off and updates you on all the important moments. In addition to the live ticker, there will be full match highlights, statistics and first-hand info on our social media channels Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The match report plus reactions and facts will then follow on our website and the app after the final whistle.
