Borussia Dortmund welcomes SCO Group as Regional Partner in Japan

Borussia Dortmund is proud to announce a new partnership with SCO Group Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo. SCO Group has joined the BVB family as the official Regional Partner of Borussia Dortmund in Japan.

With this agreement, BVB strengthens its presence in one of the club’s most important international markets. The partnership aims to build closer connections with fans and communities in Japan, further expanding BVB’s international footprint and sharing the club’s unique values and traditions.

Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, said: “We are very pleased to welcome SCO Group to the BVB family. Japan has always held a special place for us – not only because of our strong fan base, but also due to the contribution of Japanese players to the history of our club. This partnership reflects our ambition to grow sustainably in Japan and to connect with our supporters in meaningful ways.”

Importantly, both BVB and SCO Group are committed to going beyond a traditional sponsorship. Together, the two partners will explore ways to create new social value by combining the fields of education and sport, with the aim of making a positive impact on communities in Japan and beyond.

SCO Group has launched the “Oral Care Project” in cooperation with Japanese professional football teams. The initiative promotes oral hygiene nationwide and leverages the power of sport to highlight the importance of preventive care and healthy lifestyles.

Yusuke Tamai, Chairman of SCO Group, commented: “We are honored to partner with Borussia Dortmund, a club that shares our vision of creating value that goes beyond the football pitch. By combining sport with fields such as medicine and education, we want to inspire positive change and contribute to the well-being of communities across Japan. Together with BVB, we will strive to set new standards for how sports and business can work hand in hand to drive social impact.”

The collaboration with SCO Group underlines BVB’s continued commitment to Asia and reinforces the strong ties the club has built with Japanese fans over many years.
