Two top matches for BVB: The dates for the start of the Bundesliga season have been set

The start of the regular season is fast approaching: The Bundesliga has now set the exact dates for the first four matchdays. This means it’s also clear when BVB’s season opener against Hamburger SV will take place.

On the first matchday of the Bundesliga, the northern German team will be the visitors for the top match on Saturday (19 Aug.) at 18:30 at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. On the following two matchdays, BVB will play at the traditional Bundesliga kickoff time of 15:30 on Saturday: away at TSG Hoffenheim (5 Sept.) and at home against newly promoted Paderborn (12 Sept). The match at VfB Stuttgart on 19 September is another top match kicking off at 18:30. After that, the Bundesliga will take its first break of the 2026–27 season to make way for national team play.
