4:00 p.m.: Introduction of the new squads
The pre-game program at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK begins, and the 2026–27 squads will be introduced. The first team and the BVB Women will be called onto the field by stadium announcer Nobby Dickel to greet the Black and Yellows supporters.
4:30 p.m.: Performance by Blumengarten
The musical duo has long had more in common with Borussia Dortmund than just shared performances. Singer Rayan has been a huge BVB fan since childhood. Two years ago, Blumengarten took the stage as the opening act at the Christmas Sing-Along at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. This was followed by further joint campaigns and events. Now Blumengarten is performing at the stadium once again.
5:30 p.m.: Kickoff of the friendly match against AS Roma
AS Roma, which finished third in last season’s Serie A standings, will take the field at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. This will be a true test of strength for head coach Niko Kovac’s team one week before the Super Cup match against Bayern Munich on August 22 (8:30 p.m.). The season opener is presented by schauinsland-reisen.
