His name was chanted particularly often and loudly as the 23-player training squad warmed up on Wednesday right in front of the many BVB fans who had gathered at the youth stadium on the training grounds. Karetsas\u2019s new teammates\u2014including Jobe Bellingham, Felix Nmecha, and Fabio Silva\u2014were also given a rousing welcome by the numerous Black and Yellows in the stands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Under sunny skies and a temperature of 27 degrees, the BVB first team\u2014including Brazilian newcomer Kaua Prates\u2014showed great dedication during the public training session, which consisted of a fitness segment, various passing and game drills, and a final scrimmage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDhZEL0LDWo\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Watch on YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>On Sunday, BVB will play at Arsenal<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck, Mussa Kaba, Diant Ramaj, Gregor Kobel, and Julian Ryerson, Yan Couto\u2014who was given the day off on Wednesday\u2014was also absent from the training squad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After nearly 90 intense minutes of training, the BVB first team took plenty of time after the cool-down to sign autographs and take photos with the fans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Training will then continue as usual over the coming days, ahead of the next friendly match on Sunday (9 August). People had followed a post on BVB\u2019s social media channels announcing that something special would be happening that Monday afternoon at the gyros restaurant in question.<\/p>\n<p>And so Borussia\u2019s new midfielder spent an hour posing for photos and signing autographs, remaining visibly cool and relaxed despite the 34-degree outside temperature: \u201cEverything\u2019s great, everything\u2019s easy,\u201d said BVB\u2019s new number 19 between two selfies with the fans.<\/p>\n<p>For the waiting BVB supporters\u2014including many children accompanied by their parents\u2014the wait was made literally more enjoyable with the house specialty.
