Dembélé to remain suspended

Borussia Dortmund have decided to maintain the suspension of player Ousmane Dembélé from first team training until further notice.

This was a mutual decision made between Hans-Joachim Watzke, Michael Zorc and Peter Bosz after their first round cup victory against FC Rielasingen-Arlen on Saturday evening.

“Our focus is now on preparing the team for the opening match of the season next weekend in Wolfsburg,” explained Zorc. “Ousmane Dembélé can always undertake individual training away from the group”.

Borussia Dortmund will not further comment on the matter aside from this statement.
