Sustainability Report: Borussia unites – Borussia gets to work
This includes the continuation of our commitment to social issues as well as our development to become a resource-conserving and climate-friendly organisation and operation. Like its predecessors, the fifth sustainability report was produced in line with the current GRI standards and for the first time also includes a progress report from the United Nations Global Compact.
Borussia is getting down to work. The internal sustainability working group, in which representatives from each department work together on the sustainable development of BVB, met yesterday. One of the topics was the Sustainable Development Goals - the 17 goals for sustainable development set by the United Nations (UN). As a participant in the UN Global Compact, the UN's business initiative, Borussia Dortmund is committed to sustainable and responsible corporate governance. The German Global Compact Network provided input on the topic.
Subsequently, concepts were developed in interdisciplinary working groups as templates for decision-making by the management. Topics such as staff mobility, improvement of internal delivery or even health and prevention services for the workforce were drafted and discussed.
